WONDERLAND

My diary as an intern:

Shooting beauty, pretty easy right, just face shots?

well that's what i thought..

This shoot seemed to involve more clothing than a full fashion shoot and it was giving me major wardrobe envy.

Flicking through pink Gucci goat fur coats,

Heavily embellished ashisha tops (for anyone that knows me will know how much I love embellishment so this was amazing)

Nearing the end of the shoot, the stylist said I could leave early,

'Early?! Great'

Until he pointed over to the huge suitcase filled with all the clothing from the shoot and a bag about as big as me and said;

'Could you take those back to the office on your way?'

Both? How do I carry one let alone both?

'Sure I said'

That was the first problem I faced, the second was when I got on the wrong bus going in the opposite direction and only realized 5 stops down and had to get off and turn back round.

The next day involved visiting more PR offices including Liberty, Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choo.
I also ended up going home with 4 pairs of Jimmy Choo heels..

Oops.

Listening to the phones constantly ringing 24/7, the conversations of model call ins, moving 'that' shoot two days forward and frantically having to fit it in somewhere.
Or the time the owner of the magazine came in and said to one of the stylists,

'Now I'm going to need you to write this down... It can be Gucci, if it's nice Gucci, do Gucci even do nice? , it could be Prada, not Chanel, Dolce, but not Lanvin or maybe even couture.. Have you got that?'

My second day saw me at Moschino and Hermes PR offices, this should be easy I thought... Until I got handed yet again another huge bag in each hand with MOSCHINO printed over the whole thing, just incase anyone on the tube was curious about what was inside.

After finding moschino and pressing a buzzer a voice answered,

'Hello, this is moschino'
'Hi it's lana'
'Lana...?'

Oh my god, where am I from, what do I say?

'Urm hi I'm from wonderland... Yes wonderland'

Was I allowed to say that?
Oh well I'm in now.

Returning to the office I received a text

'The shoot with Lindsay has been moved to today if you can make it back in time we'll need you to help assist on it'

'ARE YOU KIDDING ME, LINDSAY LOHAN?'
'IM GOING TO MEET LINDSAY LOHAN?!?!'

Replying with a simple 'ok' I LEGGED it to the tube station, and by legged it I mean I actually ran through regent street.
Once I finally got home that night I received a text from the stylist saying

'Youre shooting with me tomorrow it's a Tom ford beauty special, start time 9am I'll send you the call sheet'

Tomorrow is another day.

WONDERLAND

My diary as an Intern:

Lana: 17/08/2014 | Category: Lifestyle

I didn't think it would be possible to over dress for a fashion magazine, does Anne Hathaway in 'The Devil wears Prada' spring to mind?
First day was the decision between a dress or jeans? Heels or flats? they say first impressions are important right?
I opted for my black pumps, stripy oversized tee and black leather wrap skirt, (settling for middle ground)

As soon as I arrived at the office I received a text from the stylist saying he needed me to do a 'drop off'

"There is a white bag filled with jeans in the office, i'll send you the address you need to deliver them to".

My first job, this should be fun I thought... Until I opened the office door and was greeted by the over flowing room known as 'the wardrobe'. This wasn't just any ordinary messy wardrobe. Buried amongst all of the mess was Chanel couture, Versace two-pieces, Louboutin heels and Tom Ford shirts.

After eventually finding the bag I set off, phone in hand frantically typing the postcode into 'city mapper' which has been a LIFE SAVER.

Once I dropped them off and got back to the office, my next job was to visit 3 different PR offices. The next thing I know I was sat on the tube clutching a bag filled to the brim with Christian Louboutin heels, with my paranoid self thinking,

"Oh my god, everyone knows what I have in this bag I am going to get robbed".

I finally understand why editors are so slim, I didn't eat lunch until 3pm and by lunch I mean a cereal bar before I received a text from the stylist with my next task to collect the jeans I delivered earlier and bring them back to the office because they HAD to be back by the end of  the day.
I didn't get home until 11pm on my first day, a 13 hour day that only felt like 3.

The next day I got a text at 8am saying the jeans needed to be delivered first thing to a new address.
Are you kidding me...? The jeans I carried round London all day yesterday still weren't were they needed to be?
Before I got a chance to reply I received another text,

"oh by the way, you're delivering them to Dynamo the Magician'.

Okay... Play cool Lana, play cool.

So the Nottingham fashion show for Thackeray's came round again and here are some of the pictures!
It was an amazing evening and as usual left me feeling the need to spend spend spend.
My favourite piece was the black lace dress I wore from the brand Darling, so simple but a different twist on a traditional lbd.

Feeling a cheeky purchase coming soon! let me know what you think :)
Hugs x

Coat- Pepe Jeans / Top- eBay / skort- Zara / Shoes- Primark / Bag- Vivienne Westwood
It's been awhile! Here is my outfit from today. I recently celebrated my 18th birthday and my favourite present was this amazing pepe jeans coat. It's so warm and perfect for the winter! I teamed it with a simple slogan t-shirt and a white wrap skort. Paired with black tights and simple black ankle boots I feel this outfit was perfect for winter, warm yet still stylish.

Let me know what you think :)
Love x

Nottingham catwalk show

So I'd thought I would give you a sneek peek of the photos I have just received from the Nottingham fashion show for Thackeray's which I took part modelling in.
I picked 2 of my favourite outfits in these photo's.
The first outfit (my personal favourite) consisted of:
-Alexander McQueen dragonfly print leggings.
-Vivienne Westwood yellow leather handbag.
-Woolrich grey top
All finished off with a pair of Sam Edelman gold snakeskin peep toe heels.

The second outfit consisted of:
-Vivienne Westwood 'Apollo' clutch bag.
-Ted Baker rose gold heels.
And a Ted Baker black lace prom style dress.

Whilst I loved the outfits, the hairstyles aren't something I would personally see myself walking into town with although I felt they did channel a slight Marc Jacobs feel from his fall 2013 catwalk.
